  • Made the Connecticut Whales’ team at age 20
  • Named to the AHL All Star Game and finishes the game with 3 points (1 goal and 2 assists)
  • Finished tied for 1st in points for the Connecticut Whale during the regular season
  • Finished 11th (3rd among rookies) in points in the AHL during the regular season with 64 points (24 goals and 40 assists) in 76 games
  • The Connecticut Whale is eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs by Norfolk
  • Recorded 4 points (4 goals and 0 assist) in 9 games during the playoffs
  • Called up by the New York Rangers on May 14th, 2012

2012-13 Season

  • Becomes a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets organization. Two way contract : NHL(Columbus Blue Jackets)/AHL(Springfield Falcons).
  • Concludes season with 67 points in 74 games in wich he scored 21 goals.
  • Ends up 6th leader of the AHL for the points.
  • Named to AHL first all star team.
  • Makes his debut in the NHL by playing his two first games for Columbus.
  • Scores his first hat trick among the professionals against Manchester.
  • Gets a seven-game point streak.
  • Ends up with one goal and two assists in his first game against Columbus, his ex-team, besides posting a +4 rating.
  • Reaches the second playoff round.
  • Accumulates 3 assists in 8 games during the playoffs.

2013-14 Season

  • Traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning on the 5th of February 2014
